who am i?

Hello! I'm a 22 year old graduate student pursuing a masters degree in library and information science. I worked in a small academic library as a college student and realized I'm passionate about information access and preservation! Currently, I'm interested in electronic resources and scholarly communication librarianship.

I grew up in Chicago, but my family now lives in the suburbs. Chicago is really cold except when it's really hot.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, running, and learning Spanish. I also love collecting CDs and DVDs!

why make a website?

I'm trying to get better about using my time for creative self expression rather than mindlessly consuming content. To try to create a balance between content input and creative output, I figured a blog would give me a place to construct and share my thoughts and passions.
